Friederike--are these like spaetzle? but with cheese?

They are certainly very similar to Spätzle. All you need is flour, grated cheese and eggs, but the dough is slightly drier and harder, which is also the reason why you need to use a proper grater, not a spätzle maker. And you eat them in soup, as a soup add-in.
