Nothing really new or different about this side dish ... but it is simple to make and delicious to eat. Easy to do ahead and rewarm if necessary. I subbed half-n-half for whole milk since that's what I had on hand, but otherwise followed the directions...

A very well-written recipe, almost entirely do ahead, that produces a very good end result. Because the timing is so precise, it's very easy to do the planning of the rest of a holiday meal around this. It is important to finely chop the ingredients...
