This is a simple cooked salsa with great tang from the tomatillos and a bit of smokey flavor from the chipotles. I roasted half of the tomatillos for extra roast-y goodness. Have served with smoked brisket, chips and tacos.

These are DECADENT! Gooey and delicious with brown sugar and butter toasted pecans. I did not have a 9-inch pan so made them in my 8-inch and added 10 minutes onto the baking time. They were still pretty gooey but once cool the texture improves.

I had never had Angel biscuits before but came across them during my quest for a "high rise" biscuit. The yeast definitely helped provide the lift I was looking for but not sure how these would work for a crowd of very opinionated Southern biscuit lovers....
