The Crepe and Pancake Cook Book
By Cecilia Norman
Hutchinson - 1984
In addition to pancakes, this book covers a host of other international combinations of beaten eggs, flour and mild - from crumpets to tortillas, via pizza, waffles and flatbreads. A book for pancake afficionados.
The Josceline Dimbleby Christmas Book
By Josceline Dimbleby
Martin Books - 1987
This book contains nothing but fabulous recipes of the totally indulgent, extravagant Christmas variety. There isn't a light-weight recipe in it. Equally, there isn't a single low-fat recipe either. But what is Christmas for! Desserts are especially well done - orange pastry for mince pies, light yule log (made with almond meal), the BEST recipe for lemon ginger shortbread, multiple cakes, as one would expect, and a casket of cranberrry sorbet filled with mango ice-cream.
Michael Smith's Glyndebourne Picnics
By Michael Smith
Queen Anne Press - 1994
A lusciously illustrated book for those fond of opera, picnics or both. Given the (mostly welcome) changes to the Glynedourne experience in recent years, the book is also a whimsical record of celebrating the long interval in style. The book is full of inspiration for summer romance.
