I can't say enough good things about this book. It's beautiful and the typography is attractive yet legible (unlike so many cookbooks lately). The photos are great. The commentary on the recipes and the essays which are scattered throughout the book are a delight to read. But most importantly, this book works.
We were inspired to go and get a good wok (one recommended by Ms. Young as it happens) and found the instructions for seasoning, using, cleaning and maintaining the wok so clear and easy to follow. Each recipe we've made has been a success. Again, the instructions, not just for the individual recipes, but for the various techniques, are precise, clear and impeccable. This is definitely a five star book.
