Hmm. Not really what I had expected - not creamy in the sense of cream but rather starchy as if we had used potatoes. Might have been the celeriac, though. The milk curdled slightly when we mixed it with the wine, but everything went back to normal once...

Aieeyaaa! This could have been such a nice dessert, but unfortunately, it wasn't.
The sauce was the major issue. If you fry the apples in butter on high heat, as you're supposed to do, the butter will burn while the apples will come out largely uncooked...
