These little skewers, served with grilled pita, were a great addition to an assortment of mezedes.

I marinated the beef (sirloin tip) in the simple blend of olive oil, lemon juice and herbs overnight. The meat was tender and juicy once grilled in a stove-top pan even though, against the author’s advice in the recipe notes, I trimmed it of all visible fat.

Everyone loved them.
