Whole Grains Every Day, Every Way
By Lorna Sass
Clarkson Potter - 2006
Don't let the exotic spices and flavors scare you away... this is an amazing dish!
The recipe calls for bone-in chicken parts, but I always use cut-up chicken breast and it comes out great.
Teff grain can be hard to find. Try Whole Foods. I always end up getting the Bob's Red Mill brand, so you can always look for that online too.

Delicious! The lemon juice drizzles down and the green beans cook in it. The pesto gets very thick and almost crusty. So good!

I made this for Christmas Morning breakfast and YUM!
I made two changes to the recipe. I only had light brown sugar (not dark as is called for), and instead of using buttermilk, I used Egg Nog, because Why Wouldn't I?!?!

The black rice turns this Coconut Rice Pudding a deep shade of purple. The color can be a little alarming and unusual, but the pudding tastes great!

Rich, chewy and decadent. You actually blend cashews to make cashew butter and that forms the base of the cookie. SO good.
