Another great alternative to store-bought almond paste. This one requires access to almond flour. If you have that, you are on your way to great almond paste that is virtually effortless. Equal amounts of almond flour and 10x, some egg white and almond extract in the food processor and Voila!

This is a lot of work to accomplish an okay candied nut. The mixing is truly arduous and the nuts at the end are encased in a delightful candy shell and candy dust but they are really hard.

This is the easiest and best almond horn recipe I've ever made. From now on, this is the one. Starting with almond paste/marzipan from the recipe on the same site, this is mixed in a food processor in seconds; rolled and chilled and then portioned out, egg-washed, dipped in almonds and baked. Finally, the ends are dipped in melted chocolate and the results are delightful.
