| From: Food & Wine (reviewed 19th February 2012)We liked this, a quick and easy dinner. I made a half recipe, using frozen cooked shrimp (rather than shelling raw ones) and jarred roasted red bell pepper (instead of tomato--a common substitution in a tomato-allergy household).
Both of us thought the burnt brandy taste was surprisingly absent (usually I'm very aware of the burnt taste of flambéed things), even though I was a bit long on the brandy (my measuring helper misunderstood and I didn't want to throw out the brandy).
Nevertheless, it was quite tasty and we'd do this again.l

Half recipe made an easy and fast dinner for two. Very easy and fast to make.
This would make a nice starter, but I think a whole recipe would serve 8, rather than 6 as a starter. |
