Dough can also be frozen

This recipe is flawless and can easily be halved with perfect results. I recommend adding chopped, toasted walnuts and mashed banana, or berries (frozen or fresh) to the batter to make them more interesting.

I had this with sweet potatoes, and it is frighteningly addictive.

I have made a lot of apple cakes in my day, and this is by far one of the simplest, and fastest. It is really delicious and light tasting, despite the amount of butter. Great way to use up old apples. I am going to add it to my already long list of apple recipes.
