About me: I live in Colorado and cook for my family; my husband, my 20-year-old daughter (who is in college), and my 18-year-old son (a VERY picky eater). I love cookbooks and have quite a collection but am always looking to add more. I have been known to take a cookbook to bed and read it before falling asleep. Lately, I have found myself getting a lot of recipes off the internet and not using my cookbooks much. I would like to change this. I am anxious for this site to take off (and it will) and for the volume of recipe reviews to grow. It is such a great idea!

Skillet Blueberry Cobbler from Weber's Real Grilling

Excellent. We did overcook it slightly on the grill but we just need to get better at grill baking! Served it to a group of 5 and everyone loved it. read more >

I LOVE this food blog and always read it. Carol has a great sense of humor and a easy read writing style. The things she tackles are incredible. It is SO interesting to see the techniques and ingredients that go into these recipes. I'm not sure I could do them myself but it is fascinating to watch Carol (who has way more skill and guts than me) go through them.

The banana bread is great - ZERO oil and it is moist and wonderful. Who needs all of that fat - Fannie Farmer (or Marion Cunningham) knew that years ago!

I agree with the previous reviewer that these are not the healthiest recipes. I usually make them according to recipe the first time and then modify to more fit our eating style.
